Homemade Biscuits

Updated: Feb 20

If our dogs drove cars, they'd have bumper stickers that said, “Will Break for Treats”. As fellow foodies here at Boho + Bark, we can totally relate to this. Does your fur babe give you the look while you're workin' in the kitchen? The one that screams "Drop that bacon now and nobody gets hurt?!" I thought so. Willow definitely does!

If you love your pup as much as we love ours, then we're sure you spoil them the same way we do. My favorite treats to make for Willow are healthy one- just don't tell Willow that! I found a recipe for Bacon Almond Butter biscuits, and let's just say we're both happy with them!

In just a few minutes you can prep a tasty treato that your babe will drool over.

  • 2 cups almond flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 3 strips of cooked & chopped bacon

  • 1 cup unsalted almond butter

  • ¾ cup nonfat milk or almond milk

  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Start by mixing all of the ingredients to form a dough.

  3. Flatten the dough into a thin layer with a rolling pin.

  4. Use pup-approved cookie cutters. Pawprints and bones are fun options!

  5. Bake the treats for 20-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

  6. Set aside to cool.

Get ready to see your dog sit, stay, and jump for joy with these tasty treats. Make sure to tag us @bohoandbark once you've made them!
